Marketing your pelvic health practice doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. Here are 10
practical, proven tips to grow your visibility, fill your schedule, and help more people find
you.

If your pelvic PT practice isn’t consistently full, it’s not your fault — no one taught us
marketing in PT school. But it’s one of the four major roles of running your own business.
We’ve tested and refined strategies that bring in 80–100 evaluations a month at
PelvicSanity — and helped over 800 pelvic PT and OT businesses grow too.
Don’t Let Paralysis Stop You
With so many marketing options, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Start with one or two
strategies and focus until you see results before adding more.
Don’t Rely Only on Social Media
Social media is global, not local. Unless you’re using it strategically for your local area, it
won’t move the needle. Most new patients come from people who already know, like, and
trust you — not strangers online.
Avoid the Shotgun Approach
Trying a little bit of everything without sticking to anything long enough to see results
wastes time and energy. Choose deliberate strategies that fit your strengths and personality.
Stop Depending on Old Doctor Referrals
Many new cash-based owners are shocked when their old referral sources stop sending
patients. It’s not personal — but it’s why you need a new marketing model built around
direct-to-patient education.
Build Relationships, Don’t Beg for Scraps
Don’t go into practitioner meetings asking for referrals — lead with value instead. You’re an
equal partner in helping patients, not a salesperson.
Do Marketing You Actually Enjoy
You won’t stick with things you hate doing. Pick marketing strategies that align with your
strengths and personality — whether that’s education, workshops, or online visibility.
Avoid the Shiny Object Trap
Ignore ads promising ‘30 new patients a month.’ Those systems rarely work for pelvic
health — and if they did, their creators wouldn’t need to sell them.
Don’t Neglect Your Current and Past Patients
Your existing and past patients already trust you. Re-engage them with newsletters,
progress check-ins, or promotions — internal marketing is one of the highest ROI activities.
Create a Simple Marketing Plan
Have a written plan you can follow each week. Even one hour a week can move the needle if you know what to focus on.
Marketing for Pelvic Health Is Different
Pelvic health is unique. You can’t just copy ortho or sports marketing. Your messaging,
outreach, and patient education need to be specific — and compassionate — to the pelvic
health world.
