How to Grow as a Newer Pelvic PT/OT

If you have less than 5 years of pelvic health experience, what should you be prioritizing?

How to Grow as a Newer Pelvic PT/OT

Pelvic PT Rising: The pelvic health tools to make you a better clinician and/or a more successful business owner. We want every single pelvic health practitioner to be more confident and successful in your practice and career!

  • Clinical Courses: Game-changing online courses to make you more confident, challenge your thinking and improve patient outcomes

  • Business Resources: Helping 500+ pelvic health practitioners confidently start, grow and build their dream business!

We got so many messages after last week's episode on '20 pet peeves' about internal. Many of you asked what courses to take or where we had learned these different techniques.

So we wanted to put together a 'sode for all of you who are new(er) to pelvic health. Three major things we cover in this 'sode

1) Where you work matters, especially early in your career.

If you can, prioritize regular mentorship from a clinician you respect! And make sure you're actually receiving the mentorship that was promised.

2) Branch out in your con-ed

It's sometimes tempting to just take the next 'basic' con-ed course (2, 2a, 3, etc.). But really challenge yourself with your con-ed. Learn from people you respect. And branch out from the regular path.

3) Be curious and courageous enough to explore

There's no one 'right' way to treat! You need to find what works for you - your skills, your personality, your education and your patients. And the only way to do that is to experiment!

Try different things and see what works! Doing different and diverse con-ed can give us more of a 'green light' to try new things and find our own Clinical Ethos with our patients.

As Nicole said on the full 'sode of the topic...
